Day 2 saw the Group Stages and Top 16 Playoffs get underway and my oh my what a day it was! Plenty of awesome matches, numerous underdog upsets and comebacks made for one hell of a day of competitive DOTA goodness. Today, we'll see the Top 4 Playoffs, the Losers Bracket Finals, the Winners Bracket Finals and of course the El Grande of all matches, THE GRAND FINAL. As usual, TobiWanKenobi & Will will be providing you eSports Commentary of SMM at it's finest throughout the day! If you haven't subscribed to our Twitter page (http://twitter.com/Gamestah) yet, now would be the time to do so, as that is the first thing I update when we start a cast down here! Streams of the matches will be up on Server 1 throughout the day so check back periodically for them. I'll try to update this article and our twitter page when they start ;D! Also, check back on this article for periodical updates of what's happening during Day 3 of the event! Don't forget that Garena TV is also broadcasting the matches that we're commentating! 10:25AM: First stage match to kick off the day! Malaysian titans Kingsurf are going up against FTD. LIVE on Server 1 now! 10:51AM: Yamateh from Kingsurf is ON FIRE! He just got a QUAD KILL in a recent clash of the two teams. The Malaysian supporters are going wild and Kingsurf are just encouraging it and lappin' it up :D! 11:44AM: A fatal error by Kingsurf, they were just a bit too passive and it opened up a huge opportunity for FTD. They went straight for the Mid KS Raxes and then made quick work of the top and bottom Raxes. Well played! 12:15PM: Second stage match of the day! Hot off their epic match, FTD take on INC.Excello, the last remaining Malaysian team left in the competition. LIVE on Server 1 now! 1:00PM: FTD again with brilliant gameplay and coordination! They take down INC.Excello and thus a Chinese Face-off will ensure next with E-Home going up against FTD shortly. 1:18PM: Third stage match of the day! Off two consecutive wins and with just a mere 5 minute break, FTD go up for their chance to fight in the Losers Bracket Finals. Their opponent, the impeccable Chinese titans and reigning champions, E-Home. LIVE on Server 1 now! 2:23PM: Back from our short lunch break. FTD put the smack down on E-Home. The moment you have all been waiting for, FTD going up against cD in the GRAND FINALS!!!. LIVE on Server 1 now! 3:23PM: The GG calls come out from cD so it seems that we're going into a second game for the Grand Finals. FTD pulling out all the stops, they come from the Losers Bracket and I wouldn't blame them. Both teams definitely have not come down here for nothing! shoutcast stream of Game 2 will be up shortly after the break on Server 1. 3:30PM: Game Number 2 of the Grand Finals is now up! LIVE on Server 1 now! 4:35PM: Team FTD are the CHAMPIONS! of SMM Grand National Final DOTA Tournament 2009 |

no offense, but these shoutcasts fail so hard. I love the updates and all, but they're constructed so bad. The stream keeps lagging/buffering., The audio sync is not correct with the current live stream from Garena. Even garena is acting retarded and buffering at random times. <3 the guys commentating on the games, I really wish there was a decent video stream instead zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz |

Yeah, we're doing our best down here mate. I think there were one or two games in which the net was dropping momentarily. The audio from our live shoutcasts will not be synced with Garena TV just to let you know. | |

they just post the audio with a bit of delay. you can manually sync the audio with gtv by using the gtv speed commands. gj guys |

Yeap, our shoutcasts aren't sync with third party streams unless it's our inhouse GTV streaming / VODing. | |

I'm on the bus back to Singapore from KL as I post this, the files are on my laptop. We'll be trying to get them out ASAP and they should be out by this week. Goal is to upload them by tonight! ;D | |
