Gamestah!SpearDave: pvh, thanks for coming along tonight, and for your time.

pvh: My pleasure, it’s good to be on Gamestah.

Gamestah!SpearDave: Cheers. So let’s get into it.  I have to ask you this, where did 'povohat' come from? Is there a story behind the name?

pvh: It's kind of disappointing, there’s not a great meaning behind it or anything its just a random phrase I thought was really funny when I was LAN-ing with my brother on Duke Nukem, and it just kind of stuck and I started using it online.

Gamestah!SpearDave: Aw, bummer. Oh well. Can you tell us about your gaming history? What games have you played that led you to TF2? On ozfortress forums you often mention Quake; anything else?

pvh: That’s it really, just Quake or Quake World to be more particular. So I played that from about 97 when it came out until whenever TF2 was released, so I've really only played a couple of games online.

Gamestah!SpearDave: So in TF2 you have always been up the top end of the competition, has it always been that way?

pvh: Not necessarily. Back in Quake we had a lot of talent playing in our country, I'd say top 4 would be where we ended up when Quake was still competitive as far as teams where concerned. As for TF2 I’ve managed to keep a spot in Div1 for a while and it’s been good and competitive.
