Gaming History:

My gaming history started back in year 6 or 7 when me and my best mate would spend hours on end playing Diablo 2 and Starcraft.  The rest of my free time was spent trying to get any sort of game to work on our prehistoric computer generally to no avail.  When I finally found some money I picked up an Xbox and spent many an hour playing through the Need For Speed Titles and the Halo titles.  I’d also be throwing all the money I had at computer upgrades so I could actually start to play games apart from Diablo and Starcraft.  This is where I got into playing first person shooters with Rainbow Six: Ravenshield and this opened my eyes to  what I wanted to play.  I was in love with FPS as me and my mates would constantly play Ravenshield over lan as at this point I was still fighting to even get a Dialup connection.  Then came the day when I borrowed Call of Duty 1 off a mate and played through the Single Player and this is where I fell in love with call of Duty series.  Soon CoD2 came out and I picked it up straight away so I could join the online revolution.  With my 300+ ping i would get absolutely Dommed in every server, and yet I loved it!

Then came the day when I could afford my own PC, and this is where Pc gaming really took off for me as I picked up every game I could because for the first time in my life, I could play whatever I wanted.  Que the epic battle of me fighting for a Broadband connection which eventually resulted in me paying entirely for the connection, the installation and the modem, but I didn’t care because I was getting broadband! Round about this time Call of Duty 4 had hit the shelves and for the first time I could play online with a decent ping and could actually get some kills and some positive kill to death ratios.  For too long I was a Pub Hero , shredding the Node servers until I was picked up by my first gaming clan the Gummy Bears, where I distinctly remember being told to get on vent to meet the guys, with me replying “What’s vent?”.  So the days of competitive gaming had arrived for me and this is where I really started to enjoy CoD4.  As I was playing CoD4 almost every day I was making more friends through the game and was meeting some great people and becoming part of the Cod Community.
I discovered Gamestah through a good mate of mine; Tonez as he was getting one of his Clans matches shoutcasted.  I Tuned into the cast and was blown away at how good it sounded and the professionalism of it all. Tonez and I got to talking about how kool it would be to be a Gamestah Shoutcaster, and he implored me to apply.  Since then the shoutcasting has really taken off for me, having met some fantastic people and becoming more confident in my ability with each cast.  As World at War has just been released and is looking more promising with each day, I’m really excited to be on the Gamestah team and am amping to get into casting more and more matches.
