Gaming & Commentary History I started gaming as a wee young lad, when i loaded "Labyrinth" from 4 x 5 1/4" disks into a TRS-80. It was a text based RPG, and many many hours were spent playing this. I then moved onto gaming on a Commadore 64 with a loverly tape drive. I continued to update my PC's and game away on a 386, 486, pentium 1, pentium 2, and duo cores. My first console was an atari 2600. I then remeber flying to Thialand in the 80's to buy a Sega Megadrive. They were not being released in Australia for some time and were a lot cheaper in Thialand. I stayed with the Megadrvie for some time, before the upgrade to a Playstation. Since then I have owned a PS2 and Xbox. My venture into multiplayer gaming started with Quake. I missed the joy Doom multiplayer, having battled the Single player to death. My first expereince on clan based gaming was in Return to Castle Wolfenstien. I formed Rangers (clan) and we battled away for a long time. We consistenly finishing in the top 10 on GA ladder. During this time some members of the RTCW community started a website called Wolfstah. Wolfstah was one of the most popular RTCW sites world wide and I contributed regularly with news stories etc. During this time, Rangers were "Shoutcasted" for a GA ladder match by Ringo and Xbreed (i think) and i recall listening to how exciting it was to hear our team being commentated. This sparked my interest and my start in Esports commentary had began. I continued to play RTCW till its death and then 10 seasons on Enemy Territory. I dabbled in MOHAA however more recently I've joined Zombie Exodus and play TF2 competitively. I also volunteer within the community having served as a GameOp at Ozforces and GameArena My casting career started back in RTCW. I cast solo under Craptastic Productions for about 2 years, often co casting with the famous Porn*. During this time I often cast on Hextrooper Radio and huge thanks as always to Xor. Gamestah was formed in 2003, when the chaps running Wolfstah wanted to expand and put together a casting network. So I was approached to join, enlisted Bob and the rest is history. Gamestah's birth and survival would not have been possible with out the support of Ausgamers, IT Bussiness solutions, Quickspeed and Madman. BoB and I started "Craptastic Chatback", a weekly gaming talkback show. It had a tremendous following and ran for 2 years. Bob and I also formed one the best known casting duos. We quickly gained a reputation for our our humour and irreverence as well as flexibility in casting a wide variety of games including,: RTCW, ET, SOF2, CoD 1 and 2, Counter Strike 1.6 and Source and the Battlefield series. We moved into LAN event casting in 2005 and currently enjoy a successful LAN casting career covering all major LAN events in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Gamestah latest move has been onto HD Pay TV in Singapore so look for more Gamestah TV events in the near future. I have been heavily involved in promoting Esports commentary and will take all opportunities to promote and support Esports casting. This includes many appearances on the ABC gaming TV show Good Game and presenting at many E-games expos. With my current role as Gamestah CEO, I am proud to provide a place for gamers to come and enjoy commentating. We provide a excellent training ground for new casters and with a great team under me we continue to expand Gamestah throughout the Asian region. We have achieved over 100% growth each year for the past 4 years. And when i look around the Esports commentary landscape and see all of our collegues, rivals and competators fall by the way side, it is reassuring to see Gamestah outlast them all. It is also rewarding to see that all the new ventures who start in Esports commentating in Australia have at one time or another started their commentary career at and been developed right here at the Gamestah.
