The World Cyber Games (WCG) makes its return to Brisbane today. The Queensland state qualifiers are taking place at The Bunker in the Queens Street Mall. Yesterday we saw a quality line-up particpate in the qualifiers for Halo 3, UT and Warcraft 3. Today it's Guitar Hero and the big one, CounterStrike 1.6
The Gamestah Team of Depz and MomoWang will be venturing into the depths of The Bunker to bring you the action throughout the day. If you are interested in listening in live, visit Gamestah Networks :: Latest News and click on the green server dots on the right hand side (green shows they are live).

1719 Update: EYA continues to roll through the lower bracket with a Quarter Final win over gameSeven. 16-7 was the score on inferno and it now sees them go up against the A-Gamers in a big re-match from earlier in the day. The winner of this match will play fzer0 in the Grand Final match. More importantly however, the winner of this match will secure the second autoberth for the National Finals in Sydney.
1634 Update: It was the fastest match of the day, well almost. EYA come back hard and dominate Dust2 with a 16-1 slapping of shuffz. They now move forward to play gameSeven on inferno. The winner of that match will take on A-Gamers for the second auto-berth (including flights) to the Australian National titles in Sydney in August.
1556 Update: Some more results in from the losers bracket and some interesting results. Magical went up against gameSeven but unfortunately went down 16-4. gameSeven went through to play against f4f who beat Next Generation. The result there was gameSeven winning 16-8. They advanced yet again and this time, it was nme who stood in their way. nme had beaten ATP earlier in the day before losing to A-Gamers which dropped them into the losers bracket. Their match against gameSeven however saw them lose again and send them packing. gameSeven winning 16-5 pushes them forward yet again to meet the winner of EYA and shuffz which is the next match coming up on Server 1 and being shoutcasted by Gamestah.
1545 Update: I am seriously going to give up trying to tip the winners. ATP were up 11-4 on Terrorists on train and were looking to walk away with. EYA didn't agree and racked up something like 8 straight rounds before they finally took it 16-13 for the win.
1514 Update: Apologies for the problems with the shoutcast steam, all fixed now. Thanks Jonpro. We have also jumped into the losers bracket match between ATP and EYA - Live on server 2.
1504 Update: A-Gamers pushed ferz0 on Train however fzer0 held on and now have their ticket down Sydney. They won 16-13 in the Round 4 Winners Bracket match and now go into the Championship game.
1415 Update: A-Gamers defeated nme 16-9 and move to the Winners Bracket Semi-Final to take on fzero. This is the next match we will be covering on server 1.
1412 Update: Score update only: fzer0 defeat shuffz 16-6. A-Gamers defeated Atp 16-6.
1355 Update: Second match for the losers brackets saw f4f defeating Next Generation 16-13. f4f stay alive and play the winner of Magical and gameSeven. Next Generation unfortunately head home after their two close loses 16-14 and 16-13.
1314 Update: We are now jumping in to cover the losers bracket match between Next Generation and f4f. It's on server 5 and we'll be going live a few rounds into the start of the match.
1307 Update: Some other results just in. Round Two match saw shuffz defeat gameSeven with a score of 16-7. The first match in the losers bracket saw teamXEN go up against connexion. Unfortunately for teamXEN they went down 16-2 and are the first team to bow out of the WCG Queensland qualifers.
1302 Update: OMG. A-Gamers just launched a massive come-back against EYA to win their second round match. After being down 10-5 at half-time, the A-Gamers charged up and commenced the onslaught. They suddenly found themselves down 14-9 but they held strong to with the last 7 straight to take it out 16-14. A massive upset considering EYA went through undefeated in the CS1.6 E-lympics here at the Bunker two weeks ago. Samsung Play of the Match goes to jks for his team down in the span of about 4 seconds single-handedly holding out the attack of EYA.
1234 Update: First half went 10-5 to EYA. They have now failed again and are keeping us all waiting with their 5th out of the game. SNAFU.
1210 Update: LLoyd Banks (aka Swing) has specifically requested a shoutout !
1205 Update: Jake has ordered 20 pizzas. Powmi finally joins the server. Match ready, EYA vs A-Gamers on Inferno for Round 2.
1154 Update: EYA still screwing around. Have been waiting now for almost 20 minutes for the start of this Round Two match. At this rate, the Grand Final is expected to start around 11.47pm tonight !
1136 Update: $3 gets you a 600ml Coke Zero. It is cold. Elsewhere the WCG Guitar Hero Qualifiers have just got underway in the back corner. Just waiting on EYA and A-Gamers to get in the server for their match. The last Round One match has finished and in a close one ATP defeated Next Generation 16-14. The next match-ups are Shuffz vs gameSeven, EYA vs A-Gamers (we are covering this), ATP vs NME and the first Round Two match saw fzero def f4f 16-9 but I think I already mentioned that.
1119 Update: More results in: fzer0 defeated f4f 16-9, gameSeven defeated teamXEN 16-0, A-Gamers defeated Magical 16-3 and nB failed to show and thus forfieted their match against EYA. The next match coverage will be the round 2 match between EYA and A-Gamers on Server 4.
1117 Update: First shoutcast has just finished. Shuffz defeated Connexion 16-13 (they were down 8-7 at half-time) on de_dust2.

fzer0 f4f shuffz connexion gameSeven teamXEN EYA nB A-Gamers Magical ATP Next Generation nme
