NZFortress is New Zealands Team Fortress community, obviously focussed more
on TF2 than FF these days but it was originally founded circa 98/99 for TFC
and lived on a diet of quality TFC matches up until TF2's arrival last year.

The NZFortress League is an umbrella for all competitive TF matches in New
Zealand, originally starting with three very successful 6v6 TFC leagues, and
now in it's second season of the flagship competition NZFL: Immolation. I
believe it was the first competition in Australasia last year in November,
and surely would have been in the first leagues in the world. Immolation is
an 8v8 league - the format enjoys a lot of popularity in New Zealand despite
the virtual ubiquity of 6v6 for competitive matches.

We've taken a different approach to competitions such as the OFZC in that
we've only opened up to a small amount of clans, twelve to be precise, in
order to keep the matches interesting and the competition brief. There are 3
matches to play a week for the round, clans choosing which day to have their
match on out of Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday. Game times are to start
between 8 and 10pm (NZ). Clan leaders post in this thread

organisation as well as spectating. The competition kicks off on the 3rd of
June and comes to it's climax on the 3rd of August when the top two clans
from the Premiership Division battle it out.
