Bad news - Unfortunately, due to Landers' busy social schedule of directing traffic in the middle of Rural Australia, and Alfreido's general ineptness at anything he does, tonight's episode of The Late Shift, Gamestah's late-night talkback show, is not going to happen tonight. Good news - Instead will be on this Sunday, the 2nd of December at 10:00pm. So only 3 more sleeps kiddies. :) This episode's topics include: - Alfreido will be looking into Crysis, finally, however he won't be doing a review. You'll have to listen to find out. - Dmj will be on to talk about his latest loves, including Super Mario Galaxy. - Ausgamer's News of the Week, a return of the discussion last week about socially-acceptable gaming and various other topics that have cropped up during the week. Make sure to tune in to this exciting episode, and also feel free to call in and give your opinion or criticism, we're open to everything. Being a talkback show, we encourage you to telephone in and give your opinions on our topics of the night and anything else that floats your boat. Participating on The Late Shift is not hard at all, part of the experimental actor of the show is a move away from the traditional Ventrilo based talkback to a simpler system. The Late Shift is currently utilising the wonders of Skype. This allows us to provide a landline number that listeners can call to take part in the show, although this will cost the listener call charges (which can be a local call if you use a Sydney based landline, while mobile and interstaters will be charged whatever your providers charge for a national call). If this doesn't sound like your cup of tea, don't despair, there is a free option. Downloading and installing Skype costs nothing and setting up an account is easy and swiftly done in the program once installation is complete. Once you add The Late Shift to your contacts list, you'll be able to call in and participate without the worry of telephone charges. The telephone based option (standard call charges apply): During show time, you can call (02) 801 1337 2 to participate on the show. Please note: at times we might be already talking to another caller or could be in the middle of a special segment and you'll only get through to voicemail. You can leave a voicemail which will be played on-air or you can try to call again later on. The free option: You also have the option of using Skype to participate on the show. This option does not attract any call charges and Skype is an extremely easy program to set up. If you haven't got Skype installed, head on over to their website and download the software. Upon installing it takes only a minute or so to set up a new account (standard accounts are free) for you to use. Once Skype is installed, all you need to do is add gamestahlateshift as a contact and you'll be able to call us during show time to participate. Please note we have updated our Skype setup so there are two Gamestah Late Shift accounts, both are clearly marked in the contacts search area if you do a general search for gamestah. Please only add the Skype callers Late Shift contact as we will not answer Skype based calls on the Telephone callers only client. |
