So, you're probably thinking this really is sounding as devastating as getting a Celine Dion CD for your birthday. To tell you the truth, it probably will be for the first week. I've been following Airborne for months now and I have high hopes for what it can achieve Multiplayer-wise. Scarily enough, EA seems to be listening to what the plebs have to say. A whole bunch of MOHAA junkies have been working with fansites such as Planet Medal of Honor  to report the myriad of bugs and issues they're not happy with. If you join one of the rare servers that fills up with polite, good old fashioned MOH:AA'ers, you can have a FANTASTIC time but at the moment those servers are extremely rare. All we can really do is wait for the dedicated server patch and that's slated for release just 4 days after the game is released in Australia. From what I've read not only does it add all the necessary server cvars (map rotations, remove compass dots etc), it should also get rid of the couldn't connect to host issues. I've also seen official press releases where EA have pledged to support the game with content patches containing new weapons and maps (though I hope they don't take the pay for download route like the BF2 Booster packs)

My tip, if you liked MOH:AA and have the system to run it, you might as well invest in MOH: Airborne as there's nothing like owning it up on The Hunt. I've only seen fit to give MOH: Airborne Multiplayer a C at this stage, purely because of the lack of dedicated server support, once that appears I'd assume the overall rating would go up to a B+ to A-.

 PROS:
- Classic maps The Hunt, Remagen and Destroyed Village remodelled and remastered into new age sexiness
- Diverse playing area - Rooftops, ruins and partially destroyed buildings are all accessible via parachute and even by ground based forces
- Cookable grenades - Make flushing out camping snipers so fun
- Sniper scopes - Blurry/Unfocused sniper scope feature makes sniping whores less accurate
- Ability to Ninja in via parachute and get sweet revenge on camping sniper by booting him in the back of the cranium
- Classic taunts return (I've seen French school girls shoot better!)

CONS:
- No name change or clan tag support (big uproar about this and will hopefully change in a patch)
- Can't set EA account to auto-login or remember details
- Only player hosted servers until dedicated server released September 17
- Hit and miss as to what servers you can and cannot connect to, many servers just timeout when you try to join
- Spawn camping terrible in TDM, especially on Avalanche map
- Lack of MP Maps

Great read, Landers. I was considering getting this game for the single-player, no way in hell would I play an EA game for multiplayer though, they simply don't support multiplayer as well, or just simply tack it on to their single-player games.

Landers, can I use the EA account I made for BF2 & 2142 or do I have to create a totally new one??

Other than that, I think I'll wait for the patch for a final decision.

If you buy the game on disc you should be able to use any pre-existing EA account. It's only users that buy off EA Link that are forever tied to the one login.
