ETQW Beta2 will be released some time tomorrow morning, along with 25,000 extra keys! Soon to be released on Fileplanet, the long-awaited Beta2 should breathe new life into the fledgling ETQW scene down under.

This update will introduce a host of improvements and fixes including improved controls and hit-detection, as well as an exciting new map that's been featured in many of the earlier gameplay vids, Valley. Unranked server code is also included, which will allow the competitive scene to create their own scrim servers and tweak settings.

The release of ETQW beta2 is timed to coincide with QuakeCon, with coverage from the very first ETQW LAN comp available here. These are exciting times for competitive ETQW, and Gamestah are looking forward to providing coverage for the community when competitions kick off down under.

Fileplanet will be releasing the new batch of keys, and the Beta2 client, on Friday morning PST.

You can read the official news regarding the release of the updated client on the Community Site right here. Locki, owner/developer at the ETQW studio Splash Damage, has outlined the Beta2 improvements in his developer blog on the ETQW Community Site.
