Gamestah are proud to announce the commencement of the 2008 coverage of the World Cyber Games Commencing this weekend across the country, the WCG 2008 Autumn Cup will bring together the best Counter-Strike gamers from around Australia. $800 in prize money will be available for the winners of each event together with an invite to the World Cyber Games National Finals to take place in Sydney in August. WCG 2008 will decide the best Counter-Strike team and send them off to represent Australia at the WCG Grand Final in Cologne Germany in November. Brisbane will home to one of the three Autumn Cups and qualifying rounds for the National Finals. The event, commencing at 9am this Sunday 13th April, will be hosted live from the Bunker in Brisbane's Queen Street Mall. Team registrations have been fully booked out and the event is expected to see the best of Queensland gaming come together to secure the invite to the National Finals in August. The Brisbane qualifiers will be broadcast live thanks to the Gamestah team who will be plugging in the microphones and shoutcasting matches throughout the day.
