World Cyber Games – Grand Finals in Germany 2008 is turning out to be a history making event for Australian Counter Strike. Never before has a Counter Strike team from Australia been able to progress from the Group Stages to the Top 16 (elimination stages). This year Australia’s Counter Strike representative team is TEAM IMMUNITY (sponsored by Intel, Geil) and can arguably be called the most successful multi-gaming Team in Australia boosting the current top team’s in Counter Strike & Call of Duty and in the past no matter what game they have played it seems they are either leading the competition or at least finishing in the top 3.
If Team Immunity can beat their opposition Gameplay in the Top 16 match they will progress through to play the winner of SK-Gaming (Sweden) vs Just (Uzbekistan) in the Quarters.
