Gamestah, in partnership with eLeague.gg, presents the latest iteration in our Heroes of the Storm eSports ventures: the EGSS Heroes of the Storm League. Played over seven weeks, the EGSS HotS League will feature teams in a round-robin, series-of-three competition. Through the regular season teams will accrue league points, and at the end of the season the two highest ranked teams will compete for their share of the League’s prizes, currently set to a minimum of $1000. Additional prizes will be announced as soon as League sponsorship is finalized.
“After testing the waters with the Ember Series, ” said Gamestah’s Chris “Chrisis” McClement, “we have decided to put the region’s commitment to competitive HotS to the test. The Spring Series requires teams to pay to enter, but in return, we’re able to offer the biggest prizes an independent HotS League has been able to offer in ANZ.”
The League requires a minimum of four teams to enter in order to unlock the first $1000 of cash prizes. The entry fee is set at $100 per team (or $20 per player).
Registration is on Challonge and is open to all teams in the ANZ region. First night of the League is Tuesday 4 October, and teams must be registered by the end of Monday 3 October!
